Why signatures trip up online forms

The signature you upload is validated as ruthlessly as your photo: portals check pixel dimensions and file size, and they expect a tight crop containing just the ink. What people actually have is a full-page scan at 2 MB, or a phone photo with half the desk in frame. Shrinking that blindly produces either a smudge or a file the validator refuses. Preparing the source image
